Identifying the Controller Parts
An Xbox One controller is a complex piece of hardware made up of many different parts. To disassemble it, you need to be familiar with all of these parts and how they fit together.
### Front Panel
The front panel of the controller is the most recognizable part. It features the two analog sticks, the D-pad, the four face buttons (A, B, X, Y), and the two shoulder buttons. The front panel is also home to the Xbox button, which is used to turn the controller on and off and to access the Xbox dashboard.
